1. Add customer PO in the subject line
Empowering the customers with the ability to search for information in a better way boosts up the speed of payment and that’s what this new feature will do. In the new QB version, there is a purchase order field in the subject line. Just by modifying the template of the email, the user will be able to add the PO of the customer in the subject line. In order to add the PO in the email, the user will have to go to the Menu Bar, and then click on Edit>Preferences>Send Forms> Company Preferences. After that, move to Insert Filed and click on Customer PO no.
2. Automated Payment Reminder
One of the most time-consuming things for user was to follow up on accounts receivable. The automated payment reminder will eliminate this painful process. Now QB will automatically create reminder emails for you. The user will have the freedom of choosing the content that goes along with every customer through which tailored messages will be sent to every customer. In addition to this, the user will have the opportunity to review everything just before the emails are sent. The user can choose the number of days after which the reminder will be sent and it can be chosen differently for different customers.
3. Multiple invoices in one email
Sending separate invoice emails is not only a daunting task for the sender but it becomes a cumbersome process of dealing with invoices for customers as well. Sometimes, because of so many invoice emails, the customers miss the invoice and that leads to delay in payment. But now, the user can combine multiple invoices and send them in a single email. This will also eliminate the hassle of combining invoices in a single mail outside QuickBooks. But you should know that this is limited to a single job only which means that for two jobs you will have to send two separate emails.
4. Easy company file search
The newly added Find a Company File in the No Company Open Window, searching company files will become a pie. Now with less effort and in minimal time, you will be able to search the company file.
5. Horizontally collapse column
Through this new feature, the user who uses job or class can view just customer totals in the report without scrolling through the whole detail. They will also not need to export the report to Excel or spend hours in customizing reports with long list of columns. This feature was not available in any other version of QuickBooks. You will find the collapse column option on the top of the page after opening Customer Job or Class report
6. Smart Help
The content of the Help section of QB has been improved for providing better assistance to the users. Just by pressing F1, users can get the improved content and search option. The improved Smart Help can also be used to get answer from community, access live customer support and even for getting call back.
7. Payroll status feature
The new payroll status feature of QB 2020 will allow employers to see the status of their payroll of the employees that are paid directly from the deposit. The user can see the payroll status just by clicking on the Employees option in the menu bar.
8. Easy upgrade
There will now be a new option of upgrading QB to the latest version without going out of the accounting software. Just within a few clicks, the user will be able to upgrade QB without any hassle.
9. Easy Payroll Setup
The Employees self setup will ease and fasten up the process of first-time-use-payroll setup. This will minimize the time spent on setup from an hour to a couple of minutes. The business owners will have the option to invite employees to update their personal, bank and tax details without compromising on the security.
New Features specific to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Platinum 2020
This feature will simplify the process of calculating product cost. While calculating the actual cost of the inventory items, all the items related insurance, shipping, and freight can be included as a determinant.
Express pick pack
Now you can complete the picking and packing process as part of a single workflow. This will surely improve the speed of the process as the same person will do both the packing and picking job.
This feature will enhance the way of managing vendors while improving your selection of vendors. It is basically a centralized portal known as the Vendor Center for easy access to vendor information.
