  • First of all, you will have to choose Print forms option from the File Menu located at the top and choose 1099/1096 from the given list of options.

  • As soon as the QB 1099 Wizards open up, you will have to select Get Started.
 
  • Go through the tax information and review it carefully. You will also need to double-check the contractor’s information and the move on to the next step.
 
  • Choose 1099 in the next window that comes with the name Choose the filing method.
 
  • Enter the correct date.

Step-2

Printing on Blank paper and then aligning the printer and form

Before even doing anything in this step, you will have to first use a blank paper for aligning the printer and you should continue with the process only if you are completely satisfied with outcome.

  • Choose a Vendor
 
  • Then select form type Print 1099
 
  • Put a blank paper inside your printer
 
  • Simply put the sample print on the pre-printed form and then you will need to hold them both.
 
  • Make sure that both the papers that you are holding are completely aligned.
 
  • You can also use the Fine-tool alignment in order to line up the form and the printer.
 
  • Then you will again need to print a sample and then compare it.
 
  • You will need to continue doing this until you find the right alignment.

If you don’t want to go through this process again in the future and looking for a shortcut then you can simply save the alignment for the future. By saving the alignment details, you will be able to quickly print the 1099 form without any hassle and without going through this process again and again.

Load Pre-Printed 1099 Forms

When you are done with the preparation and alignment of the 1099 form, you will be ready to finally print the 1099 form.
